Ingredients

  • 1 chai tea bag (or 1 tsp loose leaf)

  • ½ cup water

  • ½ cup milk of choice (oat, dairy, almond)

  • 2 tbsp pumpkin purée (not pie filling!)

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened apple juice or 2 tbsp grated apple

  • 12 tsp maple syrup (or honey/agave)

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • Pinch of ground ginger and nutmeg

  • Optional garnish: apple slice, star anise, cinnamon dust


Instructions

  1. Brew the tea: Steep chai in boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove bag or strain leaves.

  2. Warm the base: In a saucepan, whisk together milk, pumpkin, apple, syrup, and spices over medium-low heat. Heat until steaming, not boiling (about 3 minutes).

  3. Froth: Whisk vigorously or shake in a lidded jar to foam.

  4. Assemble: Pour spiced pumpkin-apple mix into brewed tea. Stir well.

  5. Garnish & serve: Top with foam, star anise, or apple slice. Sip slowly.

Notes

  • Freeze pumpkin purée in cubes for easy future lattes

  • Use decaf chai if enjoying after hours

  • Grated apple adds texture; juice keeps it smooth
