Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (85/15)

1 yellow onion, diced

1 small green cabbage, chopped

1 (14 oz) can petite diced tomatoes

1 (6 oz) can tomato paste

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce/coconut aminos)

½ cup water (or broth)

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp dried thyme

2 tsp dried parsley

¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions

Brown beef & onions in a skillet (5 mins), then stir in tomato paste and cook 1 min.

Transfer to slow cooker. Add cabbage, tomatoes (with juice), Worcestershire, water, herbs, salt, and pepper flakes.

Stir well, cover, and cook on LOW 6–7 hrs or HIGH 3–4 hrs until cabbage is tender.

Rest 10 mins uncovered. Stir gently. Garnish with parsley and serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
