Ingredients

  • 34 dried apple slices

  • 2 dried orange or lemon slices (or fresh peels)

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 1 tbsp whole cloves

  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • Optional add-ins: 1 star anise pod, 1–2 tbsp dried cranberries, 1 vanilla bean, rosemary, cardamom


Instructions

  • Layer in a 16-oz mason jar: Start with apple slices, then citrus, followed by cinnamon sticks.

  • Add cloves and spice: Sprinkle cloves around and dust pumpkin pie spice on top.

  • Customize with flair: Add any optional extras—cranberries, star anise, etc.

  • Seal tightly: Screw on the lid and wipe clean.

  • Label it: Tag with usage: “Pour into pot + 2–3 cups water. Simmer low. Add water as needed.”
