- 2 bunches asparagus, rinsed and trimmed
- 1/2 cup butter, softened (divided)
- 1 tsp olive oil

- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional, like Sriracha)
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
- Red chili flakes (optional, for heat)
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prep the Chicken & Asparagus
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Set aside.
- Blanch asparagus (optional for thicker spears):
- Boil water, add asparagus for 2 minutes, then transfer to ice water to stop cooking. Drain and set aside. (Skip if using thin asparagus.)
2. Cook the Chicken
- Heat 1/4 cup butter + olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken in batches until golden brown (about 4-5 min per batch).
- Add 1 tsp garlic & Italian seasoning, stir for 30 sec until fragrant. Remove chicken and set aside.
3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In the same skillet, add remaining garlic and sauté for 30 sec.
- Pour in chicken stock, simmer until reduced by half.
- Stir in remaining butter, lemon juice, hot sauce, and parsley.
4. Combine & Serve
- Add asparagus, toss for 2 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return chicken to skillet, stir for 1 minute to coat in sauce.
- Garnish with parsley, chili flakes, and lemon slices.
