Born from Harper’s smoky kitchen misadventures, these air fryer BBQ chicken burgers became a weeknight wonder—juicy chicken, melty cheese, crisp bacon, and tangy sauce, all nestled in a buttery brioche bun. No grill, no smoke alarms, just fast, full-flavored comfort food at your fingertips. Try them once and they’ll become your go-to recipe for beating the dinner rush in style!


Ingredients

  • 4 x 150g Chicken Breasts

  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tsp Olive Oil

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • 4 Slices Mozzarella Cheese

  • 20g Sharp Cheddar, grated

  • 50g BBQ Sauce

  • 8 Rashers Smoky Bacon

  • 4 Brioche Buns

  • 5g Parsley Butter (soft butter + chopped parsley)


Instructions

  1. Prep & Season: Pat chicken dry. Rub with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let sit 5 minutes.

  2. Air Fry: Cook chicken at 180°C (356°F) for 12–14 mins, flipping halfway. Internal temp should reach 74°C (165°F).

  3. Cook Bacon: Fry in a pan (8–10 mins) or air fry separately until crispy. Drain on paper towel.

  4. Add Cheese: In final 2 mins of chicken cook time, top with mozzarella and cheddar. Air fry until melted.

  5. Toast Buns: Lightly toast buns and brush tops with parsley butter.

  6. Assemble: Spread BBQ sauce on bottom bun, add cheesy chicken, bacon, then top bun. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Pound thicker chicken ends for even cooking.

  • Use a meat thermometer for best results.

  • Air fry bacon for less mess and great crispiness.

  • Try pepper jack for a spicy kick!
