3–4 apples, peeled & diced (or 1 can apple pie filling, chopped)

2 tbsp butter

⅓ cup brown sugar

3 tbsp water

1 tsp cinnamon + ⅛ tsp nutmeg

1 tbsp + 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Finishing Touch:

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin generously.

Make crust: Mix flour, oats, and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly and holds when squeezed. Press 1–2 tbsp into each muffin cup, shaping into wells.

Bake crusts 10–12 mins, until golden. Cool 5 mins in tin.

Make filling (if using fresh apples): Sauté apples, sugar, butter, and spices in a skillet for 5–7 mins. Stir in cornstarch slurry, cook 1–2 mins until thick and glossy. Cool slightly.

Assemble: Spoon filling into crusts.

Bake again for 5–7 mins. Cool 10 mins in pan before removing.
