Air Fryer Apples

Air Fryer Apples

  • Author: Harper Callahan
  • Total Time: 15–17 mins

Description

Born from a chilly fall morning and a craving for pie (minus the crust), these apples became my go-to feel-good fix. Soft, spiced, and lightly caramelized, they fill your kitchen with the scent of grandma’s kitchen. With just five ingredients and your trusty air fryer, you’ve got yourself a soul-soothing treat ready in minutes. Let’s turn apples into hugs!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith)

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 2 tsp oil or melted butter (optional, for richness)

  • Optional add-ins: vanilla, lemon juice, nuts, berries

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Set to 375°F (190°C) or run empty for 3 minutes.

  2. Mix Magic: Slice apples (peeled or unpeeled). Toss with cinnamon, syrup, and oil in a bowl.

  3. Air Fry: Arrange in a single layer. Cook 10–12 mins, shaking at 5 mins. Look for soft centers and golden edges.

Notes

  • Enjoy warm from the basket.

  • Pair with yogurt, oatmeal, pancakes, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in air fryer 3–4 mins at 350°F.
